ABOUT ME

I am currently a senior at Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health pursuing my bachelor’s degree in health services management. I have a strong focus on building my career towards a public health leadership position. In my junior year, I took full-time courses geared towards health systems administration where I would work in several groups through various classes where we would create content on programs like Teams, Zoom, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Google Docs, etc. This final semester is geared towards gaining my entry-level skills in the workplace as an intern and pursuing the start of my career. People would describe me as hardworking, attentive to detail, passionate, bubbly, communicative, and a cordial partner to collaborate with. Throughout my career, I have acquired multiple skills. I have had multiple public speaking positions that have made me comfortable with public speaking and advancing my communication skills. I also tend to gravitate towards leadership positions as others have told me that I am a natural leader. I feel like these skills and various others that I demonstrate make me a good candidate for public health. I will be graduating in May 2024, and I plan to pursue a career in a public health leadership role. I am excited to pursue a position where I can further my development. Until I reach my goals, I will strive to acquire the skills and professional network to achieve them. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to connect with me or if you are aware of any positions open. I chose health services management because healthcare is a fast-growing sector that offers growth potential. I also wanted the ability to understand population health and help create change. There are also a multitude of positions that I can take as learning opportunities while I am creating this change. A part of helping others is helping organizations run smoothly so the best care can be given.

Experience:

Family Promise:

At Family Promise I collaborated with team members to help serve 5 families, I bonded with children while I advocated for tired parents to sleep, and I generated questions about various policies and regulations so that I could better understand this community of people. This experience humbled me and made me want to create change in my future.

The Home Depot:

At The Home Depot, I learned how to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to follow up on product transition development.  I was the main center for dictating where products went, whether for revenue or donation. It was part of my everyday routine to create queries with Excel and communicate the progress of products to higher-level management.
